Once again, I am incredibly proud of the performance of our competitors this past Saturday at the America’s Cup Judo Tournament in Pendleton, IN. Everyone who competed placed and brought home a trophy/medal.
· Alexandra Denev: took first in her division
· Elizabeth Denev: took first in her division
· Steven Alton: placed third in his division
· Sara Golden: took a first and a second in the two divisions she competed in
· Michael Golden: took first in his age/weight division, and third in the senior/blackbelt division
· Konstantin Denev: took second in both the gi and no-gi grappling divisions he entered, then took second in the adult novice division (12+ matches on the day, including a 9-minute war in the no-gi final)
· Michael Wagenhuber: took first in the master’s division, and first in the gi grappling competition
Way to go, all of you!! Your hard work is certainly showing results.
